I’ve grown up hearing how distant relatives were doing well in their property investments. For someone who grew up all his life in a HDB flat, I wondered how possible it was to grow their investment assets through property.
I’ve been blessed to learn from one of the top leaders in the real estate industry and that really cut short my own learning curve.
Serving homeowners, investors, tenants, sellers and first-time buyers – it has given me a lot of practical knowledge and experience of what is going on in the Singapore property market.

Before I turned 27 years old, I already made the decision to buy a 1-bedder unit at Riverfront Residences at $587K.
It was my first step in putting my own money in property investment.
The best way to learn is by having my own skin in the game.
When your own money is on the line – you can imagine the amount of research I did to convince myself it was a good decision.
In August 2021, I sold off the unit as a subsale at $685K.
Right now in 2022, it is now estimated to be valued at $710K.
I am sure when the unit hits TOP in 2024, it would become more attractive and hit a higher valuation.
The amount of profit that I pocketed might not be as much but it definitely boosted my ability to purchase a 2-bedder leasehold unit from the resale market at $830K in Sept 2021.
Today, this 2-bedder unit is now worth at $1.05M.
My wife and I have recently got married and this resale unit has allowed us to start our matrimonial journey on a good footing as we now have our own home.
In recent years, I’ve been focused on the subsale property market as I shared my own journey with others.
This is a unique form of property supply in the Singapore market where:
Most of these units are destined for the buyers who bought them during the launch phase.
But some of these units are let go and made available for various reasons.
This has become my area of specialty due to my past experience with handling my own property for subsale.
